Robert Sequoia - Guitarist in Santa Fe, NM
Born to second-generation immigrants with roots in the music of Romanian gypsies, Robert Sequoia performs live in Santa Fe, NM, as well as records music for television and film. A classically-trained guitarist, he has played more than 100 concerts in Santa Fe's famed Loretto Chapel, as well as performed at a diverse range of country clubs and restaurants, including playing at weddings. Robert Sequoia has become particularly known for the gentle and sensitive quality of his playing and honest emotional commitment.
One of his original compositions, Song for the Moon, became the #1 song on KKCR in Hawaii. He has produced five CDs of his music with the titles Bequest, Change of Seasons, Compassion, Essence of Life, and Full Moon. Several of his pieces also can be seen performed on YouTube, including the classic Spanish piece Romanza and a piece he wrote in honor of his Romanian ancestry titled Gypsy Dream.
Outside of music, Mr. Sequoia enjoys a variety of other arts such as drawing and painting. He also spends time meditating, hiking, and doing yoga.
